If a pizza is only ever as good as its ingredients then this suburban eatery should be delivering the best, because along with fresh authentic toppings, traditional homemade sauces and quality flour, each dish here is made with generous servings of passion and a healthy sprinkling of love.
Following in his parent's giant footsteps, Sam Russo has endeavoured and succeeded in opening a restaurant where his family's closely guarded recipes can illuminate the senses of Sydney's pizza aficionados.
That said, there's much more to this establishment than well-made pizza. The menu also carries a range of salads, seafood and mains. The Ship & Shore main is a standout, featuring a succulent fillet steak generously topped with thick slices of ripe avocado, freshly peeled prawns and that enviable homemade Romano sauce served on a bed of oven roasted vegetables.
