Underwhelmed
I was looking for some local Vietnamese Fusion food and had read some good things about RQ so my boyfriend and I thought we would give it a try.
We won't try it again.
The atmosphere was lacking and there was a hoity-toity feel about the place. The wait staff was a bit snobby and everything was way too expensive for what we received.
Although the flavours were yum they were a little overpowering and therefore it was hard to eat.
Basically it was an overpriced disappointment.

Up there with one of the best Vietnamese food.
My parent's are ex-chefs and I never thought any restaurant can surpass my parents culinary skills...but rQ is definitely up there!! My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary dinner and the food was really scrumptious - We had, oysters and a Banana Salad for entree - highly recommended... and lobster and pork for mains. (Hint - pre-order the lobster when you book as it might not be on the menu). For dessert, we had the chocolate tart and it was sooooooo yummy!... The coconut and rosewater ice-cream was a very nice accompaniment for the chocolate tart. If you are a dark chocolate fan like I am, it is a must have!

Naturally as the mother of Jeremy McNamara and a great fan of Ngut - his Dad and I are so thrilled to see that RQ has become the success it has.
OK darlings - Keep on Keeping on
