Got a pen? Here are the rules; no half-and-half. No ham and pineapple. Only Italian mozzarella. Only Italian toppings. Italian certified pizza-maker. Pizzas cooked straight on the stone. Okay, that's most of them. If you forget any on the way to this blond-wood space with red vegetables decorating the concrete floor, don't worry- they're also chalked up on a blackboard.
Once you get past the rules, everything here at The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide 2008 winner for Favourite Pizza is easy. You can't go wrong with tomato-based pizze rosse such as the rocco, which arrives with a scorched base, crisp crust and a suitably flaccid centre, topped with prosciutto, rocket and shaved tomato.
The Snow White to pizze rosse's Rose Red are the pizze bianche. Versions such as patate e salsiccia will see you looking down at a base blanketed with potato slices, mozzarella, Italian sausage and a verdant sprinkle of rosemary. This is a family-friendly place that's also kind to your back pocket - particularly when you come face-to-face with their last rule: no corkage fees.

Pizza up there with the best
A friend took me here for dinner. I had never heard of the place. I was quite surprised at how good their pizza was. I liked the general decor of the store as well. Service could do with some improvement.

Try it out!
If you want authentic pizzas and Italian food, give Rosso a go. These are the best pizzas I've had to date in Sydney. Forget Hawaiian or half and half; these guys make traditional, yet simple and yummy pizzas! Give it a go, you won't be sorry!
