It's the kind of place where it's easy to pop on in for a pint and a relaxed, hassle-free lunch of modern comfort food. They also boast one of the best traditional beer gardens in Western Australia.

The Rose and Crown
The food is definitely better than pub food, but you do pay for it. Half a chicken with chutney served on a bed of cous cous $34.00. The chicken was ok, but if it wasn't for the chutney, the chicken would have been pretty bland. Overall a nice meal. Of course the Rose and Crown has one of the best beer gardens in Perth. Although more umbrellas wouldn't go astray. Although the ambiance is always good, all the other diners had umbrellas and shade cloth to protect them from the sun, we didn't. We eventually moved to a table that had some shade. Very busy on Sunday which detracts slightly from the overall atmosphere. Much better when there are fewer people around. Competent and friendly without being sensational is probably the best way to describe the service. Overall a pleasurable experience. Consistent in all areas makes going to the Rose and Crown enjoyable.
