Recently reopened in a new location, this busy trattoria is something of an institution in Perth, with a stable of fans who regularly enjoy the reasonably priced, traditional Italian fare.

Stuck in the past much?
Food was way below average... other reviews make this place look like a good one to try, but I found it lacklustrer and too homely for a night out... seriously stuck in the yesteryear.
Pork reigned the scaloppine - ewww. Dishes were overpriced for something so basic, and not impressively excecuted.
A few of us ordered an entree as a main, but we were served first - so the rest of our group had to sit around and wait while we ate, then we had nothing to eat while they had their main sized mains. This is just poor service - not intuitive at all.
Did list venue as wheelchair accessible - DEFINITELY NOT - toilets are very difficult to get to with steps and tight doorways, and steps to get into the venue proper.
Sure, if you like Italian food like mama used to make, there's bound to be something you enjoy here - nostalgia, etc. But if you like your cuisine to have progressed a little beyond the mid 80s, go elsewhere.
Vegetarian options were lame for those with our group - some decent and delicious options for vego diet is pretty standard these days.
Nope, won't be going back. But that's fine and they won't miss me, cos plenty of others rate it well :)

That's amore!
Love, Love, Love this place...Have been going there for over 25 years and have yet to have a bad meal. Enzo & his staff have it down to a fine art and they never disappoint. So, when I wanted to celebrate my 6oth Birthday there simply was no other choice. Try the OSSOBUCCO with spaghetti (But in the Ossobucco sauce)...Absolutely to die for. It's not good Italian food, it's GREAT Italian food at it's best... without all the hype, bull and ridiculous prices some are charging. If you haven't tried it you're missing out. It'sa love at firsta bite!!!

Have been eating here for 29 years
My parents have eaten at Romany since it opened on William Street in the 70s. I have loved it since I was a little girl, and the food is just as good now. Shame about the old place going, but Aberdeen Street is fine, and at least the parking is easier. The best minestrone soup and fried calamari in Perth!

Delicious food in a homely environment
This is a restaurant that I've returned to time and time again in the past. The friendliest staff and reasonably priced delicious food.
