Roleys on the Ridge sits perched above the magnificent bushland of Roleystone - on the ridge, of course. Its rustic design blends in with the wooded surrounds, with jarrah floorboards, wooden beams and a tin roof. The restaurant is headed by husband-and-wife team Bradley and Melanie Richards, who have created a place that emanates charm and warmth.
Bradley Richards, a former chef at such esteemed establishments as Lake Karrinyup Country Club and Millbrook Winery, channels his expertise into an enticing menu. Diners might chose from red spot emperor with an orange butter sauce and sweet potato mash or sirloin steak served with garlic prawns on a bed of saffron mash. For those who'd rather nibble than commit to just one main, there's a tasting plate consisting of homemade chutneys, Italian smallgoods, sardines, marinated feta, olives, a trio of dips, grilled Genovese bread, and salt and pepper squid.
