Extremely Disappointing
My Wife and I visited the Riverhouse 4 years ago and were extremely impressed with both the service and the food. Unfortunately, completely the opposite can be said for our experience 24 April 2010. Both the service and the food were well below par. Paying $30+ per main meal and $20+ per Entre, at very least you should expect something edible. After being asked why the majority of my meal had not been eaten by the waitress, i told her and she simply whisked the 3/4 full plates away and delivered the bill almost immediately. Totally unacceptable.

Another example why Noosaville restaurants are better
Innovative menu and a fantastic wine list (though I chose two wines and both were not available) entrees were absolutely perfect and have never had a better pork terrine. Mains were great, well portioned and not overly heavily on sauces and garnishes wich some restaurants tend to do, great atmosphere even for a Monday night. Check it out. Great food, great service, great price.

Little treasure
We stumbled across this place by accident. What a treat it turned out to be. Service was knowledgable and food full of flavour without being complicated. So reasonably priced and lovely setting. Nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon away from the bustling crowds of Hasting Street.

Our best meal in Noosa?
Friday evening and the place was jumping. Can't argue with the economic need to re-use tables but I do feel it stretches the kitchen. Our party had a good cross-section and everyone enjoyed the meal. Working backwards, the pear tarte tatin was something I chose almost expecting not to enjoy it - but I did - my highest accolade being when I push my envelope and am not overwhelmed by some ingredient I'm not over fond of. My steak was superb - tender and the potato and leek gratin side the best I recall (better than mine!). The terrine had the family fighting for shares. Will go again.

Very nice.
Our main meals took 45 minutes to arrive. But apart from that everything was lovely. I would probably try other resturants on my next visit. It was wonderful but didnt really leave a lasting impression. We also had 3 different people waiting on us throughout the night, so things got just a little confused.

Worth travelling for. Serving clever, quality food and at a price that is 40% cheaper than similar in Sydney ( but guaranteed to be delightful ). This is must-visit.
