A much-needed makeover of the food and the decor has seen this heritage pub change from an obsolete old venue to one of Bendigo's best.
The Rising Sun pushes the boundaries of what people expect from a pub bistro. Not content to simply turn out the usual steaks and chicken parmas (although they are available for traditionalists) this bistro also offers some more gourmet dining options. Expect to see an in-house fetta, olive and chorizo tart and sweet potato and bacon risotto sitting comfortably alongside the more commonplace pub dishes.
