For proof that the gastro-pub revolution has come full swing look no further than this charming old South Melbourne stalwart.
The usual pub grub staples are all there in principle, only the beer-battered fish and chips has been revamped into a line-caught baby snapper with chermoula, herb salad and lemon; the steak and potatoes is now a slow-cooked wagyu chuck with nicola mash and a gremolata topping; and the chicken parmigiana has been brought into contemporary relevance as a tempura quail with a lime and pomelo salad.
