Restaurant Information
Rifo's Cafe
Some know this cafe by its former name, the John Rifici & Sons Coffee Shop, but to most it's "Rifo's Cafe". This popular restaurant and bar brings a slice of Italian life with its home-style beef, chicken and seafood dishes and traditional gourmet pizzas, pastas and risottos. Keeping it in the family, owner John Rifici fosters a family-friendly atmosphere that is reflected in the home-style trappings of dishes such as Nonna's salad, which features baby spinach, cherry tomatoes, crispy bacon, shaved parmesan and pesto dressing with Italian bread. Popular for social catch-ups too, Rifo's offers beers and wines to accompany an all-day breakfast, light lunch or big dinner.

Won't go back
We were seated promptly and water and menus were brought immediately. We ordered Bruschetta to share and a pizza each. Plates and cutlery were delivered to our table. The bruschetta was not good-it was diced, underripe tomatoes, a little shredded basil and diced red onion, it was unseasoned, bland, cold straight from the fridge and had an unusual metallic taste. The bread was thin sliced upright white bread, not Italian bread as listed in the menu. The pizzas were both very undercooked, to the point of the base being sloppy and wet in the middle, they had way too much cheese and little other flavour. The bill was $90.00 and was not value for money for 1 serve of bruschetta, 2 pizzas and 1 bottle of wine. We won't go back.
