Serving up its fresh, sophisticated Italian and seafood dishes to hordes of mostly regulars and locals, Riccardo's is a well-guarded secret around these parts. Chef and owner Riccardo Grasso's menu is extensive to say the least, including as it does dozens of pasta, seafood and chicken and veal mains. Seafood dishes like the garlic Moreton Bay bugs, hot seafood platter and barbecued calamari are hugely popular, and you'd better get in quick if any of them take your fancy on busy nights. The wine list is short and sweet but there's no corkage charge for BYO. The modern, bright and stylish restaurant is a blend of comfortable, family-friendly local eatery and sophisticated up-market spot. Desserts like the strawberries with the works, including vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and cream, are surely not to be missed.
