A much-loved choice for high-quality cafe meals in the Macquarie area, Ricardo's, you could say, is a bit of an institution. The prices may be slightly higher than your average cafe, but then, this is not your average cafe.
The pancakes, for example, are no mere hot cakes; these are light and fluffy souffle lemon pancakes with caramelised banana, maple syrup and cream that'll have you weak at the knees. Likewise, the salads, sandwiches, pizzas and hot mains for lunch are much more than that. Expect smoked salmon, avocado salad with dill yoghurt dressing, cucumber and cherry tomatoes, and gourmet hamburgers with beetroot, caramelised onion, tomato, lettuce and tomato chutney included. Ricardo's is not to be missed if it's cafe fare with a tasty twist you're looking for.
