Retro Betty's in Leederville has long been a hit with kids who want to step back in time for a night - back to another place and a more innocent age of fresh-faced American teenagers, burgers bigger than your head, milkshakes and drive-in movies. With the opening of the new cafe in the Greater Union Megaplex, it is so convenient to take your girl (or guy) and grab a chilli dog, share a sundae and then go catch a movie (not a drive-in...but then that's probably a good thing). For those more interested in their waistlines than in authenticity, there is also a range of healthier flatbreads, baguettes and juices.

Nice buddha burger
Service was very quick, the food was very nice and not greasy at all. The three of us had 2 buddha burgers ($12) and 1 betty burger ($12) and shared a large fries ($8) (which was very large and we couldnt finish) Chicken was very tender and not greasy at all. We had smoothies which were good. If you are looking for a cheap meal after going to the cinema then this is the place. During the weekday it had mothers and babies in there but wasnt busy at all. Would go back.

Great Burgers, Poor Service
They have an amazing range of gourmet burgers as per the original Leederville Retro Betty's. However, the restaurant designers have really let the Innaloo one down badly in a number of ways.
Firstly, they force all diners to wait in a single queue to place their order, i.e. no staff waiting tables. The queue is always inadequately staffed and therefore too slow. To make matters worse, they don't have the menu where it can be seen while waiting (for example, above and behind the staff as per fast-food restaurants) - the first time most people get to see the menu is when they get to the head of the queue which makes the overly long queue move REALLY slowly. The designers of the Innaloo retaurant should hang their heads in shame.
