Tranquilo hasn't been in business for long, but has already recruited a steady legion of regulars. One visit and it's easy to see why; owners Michael Davies and Matthew Smith have established a restaurant that makes you feel welcome immediately. With sunny staff, comfortable surroundings and an all-round relaxing mood, it's obvious why it wasn't named 'hectico'. There are specials every week, alongside such perennial menu favourites as the salt and pepper squid. The space can get rather cosy with its modest 40-seat capacity, so for some fresh air, enjoy a meal or quick coffee on the gorgeous veranda or at the pavement tables.

Great food, service and atmosphere
After being recommended on a couple of occasions we finally had dinner at Tranqillo's and weren't disappointed. The food was beautiful including a lovely barramundi stack with a light cajun seasoning. The service was everything you would expect - attentive and friendly but not overwhelming and the courses arriving suitably timed. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Valentines Day Dinner at Tranquilo
As a consequence of reading rave reviews, I took my wife to Tranquilo for dinner. The meal was superlative from start to finish, as was the service and the atmosphere. We can't wait to return and will readily recommend that our friends try it for themselves.

A must go
Tranquilo's is a must go! Fantastic food, and location and service are without doubt first class. A great place for a special occasion as well, as have been to quite a few now.

I love it!
I've been going to this place since it opened and I absolutely love it. The meals are so amazing. The steak is delicious. The specials are always changing and unique. The atmosphere is fantastic. So laid back and relaxed. The wine list is great and the service is fantastic.

Dinner at Tranquilo
A great value dinner experience. Fantastic service and a menu to suit anyone's taste and budget. The tapas are a great way to start the evening. I was so impressed I brought my family back the following day.
