With its exposed brick wall and heavy timber beams, this heritage-listed site retains a certain degree of class and romance. There's a distinct English wryness that permeates Arras, from the Union Jack-inspired design on the seating to the European twists Yorkshire chef Adam Humphries takes to his dishes. Try the crab bread and butter pudding for size and you will get the idea. Its location adjacent to the Sydney Theatre Company also makes it a prime destination for the theatre-going crowd.

Gourmet Travller 2009 Australian Restaurant Guide - "Adam Humphrey is doing his own thing. Not only is no one else doing northern English-inspired modern Euro, but it's his thing in the sense that it's personal, not merely a marketing differentiation."
Gourmet Traveller Feature Review - "Don't be fooled when you meet chef Adam Humphrey at Arras - he may have a thick Yorkshire accent but you won't find any stodgy stews here."

Fantastic!!
A fantastic dining experience. The menu was really interesting, the food was amazing - innovative and beautifully presented, wines were artfully matched with each course and the service was spot on - and all in a beautiful room with a lovely ambience. This restaurant is first class and rivals Sydney's best.
