With its moody charcoals and beiges, sharp lines and artistic suspensions from the high ceilings, this resort restaurant cuts a striking figure indeed. Located in the Quay West Resort & Spa Noosa, Restaurant Aroona certainly has the looks to charm its guests (and the Noosa locals who like a fine night out as well), even offering an outdoor area that looks out onto the lagoon pool and surrounding greenery. But aesthetics aside, this restaurant transforms from a breakfast cafeteria into a lunchtime retreat, and finally into a sophisticated diner for evening dalliances.
The European-accented menu utilises Queensland produce with flair, with dishes like the Mooloolaba prawn with roast celery, celery root salad and local mango puree; and the roast Queensland sea-farmed barramundi with sun-blushed tomato, black olive, roast eggplant and zucchini with sweet saffron onions.
