Restaurant 1871's historical lineage comes from the impressive, heritage-listed 1871 schoolhouse, which this restaurant looks out onto amid the hotel grounds. Modern elements permeate the decor, as with the interesting tree-branch chandeliers and smooth beige and chocolate-brown furniture, as well as the sophisticated Australian and European-inflected menu. You may come across temptations of the likes of eggplant moussaka, scampi and lobster pappardelle and crispy-skin Atlantic salmon, to name just a few.
