Homesick Italians and would-be Europeans can get a little taste of Italy in the middle of Civic at Remi. In the style of an Italian caffe/bar, owner Joe Trimboli provides a place for passers-by to refuel with a quick focaccia, toss back an espresso or simply indulge in a mid-afternoon glass of wine. To appease the local demand for variety, Trimboli provides a broader range of dishes than is traditional, including several Asian meals. However, those looking for something a little more continental have plenty of pastas, pizzas and gourmet focaccias to choose from. Caffeine-fiends are blessed with Italian Mokador coffee for their morning espresso, while those who are after something a little stronger can choose from the list of good Aussie wines.
