Yes, a Polish restaurant named after a Dutch painter may sound a little strange, but there's an uncomplicated explanation. The owners simply bought the restaurant already with this name, and then (luckily for us) the Polish meals started to sneak onto the menu. Order the popular goulash, a spicy beef and pork stew served with boiled potatoes and sauerkraut salad. Be warned, the meals are rather large, so turn up with an empty stomach to make sure you find your way to the white of the plate.

Good Polish Food
We started off with sharing the dumplings which were interesting but mysterious because we couldn't tell by looking at them what sort they were and there were 3 sorts. The mains were good. We had the polish sausage and vegs, the potato pancake with goulash which was delicious and the cabbage rolls which were huge and tasty. We will be back to try some of the other dishes on the menu.

What a Feast!!
Not only are the meals of generous size but they are absolutely delicious. The chicken schnitzel barely fits on the plate, it's delicously tender....makes you want more. Dumplings were also a favourite...good to get a mixture to taste them all. Loved it..we'll definitely be back.

Great value for money
I didn't know much about Polish food before I came here but I will definitely be back. Hearty, large servings and damn tasty. We had been told that service left a little to be desired but it was fine, the Polish dumplings were great, the stuffed cabbage rolls (great for vegos) were enormous and the goulash was spicy, creamy and fantastic. Only go if you are hungry!
