Red Roll


Since 1986, Hong Ha has been creating his famous Vietnamese rolls out of his diminutive Mascot Bakery. Now with his Sydney-wide expansion in full flight, it's time for the rest of us to get a taste of these oh-so tasty treats.

First timers should consider going for the classic pork roll before branching out into other variations (your return visit is a foregone conclusion). A crunchy French baguette (who said nothing good came of the French occupation of Vietnam?) is filled with pork three ways (roast pork, luncheon meat and pressed ham), pate, mayo, fresh veggies and a kick of chilli to bring it all together.
