Just a dough toss from the Italian heart-blood of Lygon Street is a pizza place that does classic carbohydrates with a twist. Tucked into Elgin Street, Red Rock Pizza Bar & Restaurant is a safe haven for celiacs, with both gluten-free pizza and pasta readily available. At this low-key place you could just as easily pull up a perch at the bar and pick at hot olives fried with oil and chilli and focaccia, or dive into a seat in the exposed brick dining room and dither between traditional or gourmet pizzas. Here pizzas run the gamut from the Prosciutto, with an antipasto platter dancing on top whicn includes sun-dried tomatoes, prosciutto, eggplant and roasted mushroom; through to the more understated Margherita with tomato, cheese, garlic and oregano. Those not in the mood for a carb load can take refuge in Italian staples such as veal and chicken parmigiana, or play with a porterhouse steak with pepper sauce.

Gluten free heaven
Finally! After all these years, a decent gluten free pizza! No, better than decent - excellent. They make their bases on the premises, the result is a perfect texture, crispy bits, topping right to the edges - yum. Very simple looking place, informal/ casual. Really friendly staff. Will be back.
