Not at all what I expected; much better!
I had visions of "yobbo footy fans" causing havoc. What a fantastic surprise. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was relaxed, the service good and not one "yobbo" to be seen! The menu was clear with some interesting choices. With our quartet all courses were excellently prepared, cooked and presented. Overall, very reasonably priced. We'll certainly be back.

Who'd of thought fish n chips could be so classy?
I am a frequent visitor to Red Mullet, and i think they are one of the best fish and chip places i've ever been to. The service is good - excellent for takeaway and good for in restaurant eating. I think they sometimes get so busy it can feel a bit alienating, but the wait staff are kind and keep things light hearted at all times. They also smile a lot, and really it makes a difference when you walk in :)
The food is delicious. The fish is always succulent and falls apart (so well cooked!), and the chips are perfectly crispy. The salt and pepper squid is a favourite, as are the scallops, king prawns and deep fried pumpkin fritters.
The atmosphere is lovely - the red and black backdrop is vibrant and warming.
