This restaurant, set in the heart of the Albany Highway dining strip, prides itself on serving fine, authentic Indian cuisine. Chef Vikram Thakur presents an extensive menu of curries, masalas and vindaloos, but there's no going past the signature palak patta chat - spinach leaves dipped in chickpea batter and deep-fried, served with yoghurt, chickpeas and diced potatoes, and topped with date and tamarind chutney. The decor here is pleasantly kitsch-free - from the atmospheric mood lighting to the gorgeous hard-wood furniture, the vibe at Real Flavour of India is very modern.

Good value, good food and service
We went here for a family function and were very happy with the food on the banquet menu and the service. Staff worked hard to make it a lovely evening for us. I would book this again for a fnction for 20 people.

Such good Indian
I was lucky enough to be one of the few people who seem to be aware of the fabulous Indian restaurant called Flavour of India. I went for dinner with my partner - The service was great - The host was so very welcoming - Inviting us in, finding us a seat. The food was great - I had butter chicken - Amazing! The atmosphere was lovely - Friendly and cosy - Will become a regular - Great service, great restaurant!
