The exterior of this little Japanese noodle house may not look like much, but wait for the midday rush and you'll soon see this place is about substance not appearances.
As the name suggests, the ramen is the house specialty here and it's not uncommon to see lines of hungry people waiting impatiently on the footpath outside for a table to open up in order to get a piping hot bowl of flavoursome broth. A few dons and udons sprinkle the menu and the salmon sashimi and mixed tempura are great starters for a hearty meal, but for a truly indulgent meal go for the shoyu karaage ramen. With deep-fried chicken in a full-flavoured soy broth, it's like the Colonel and a Cup-a-Soup had a decadent lovechild.
