A stern-looking 'no poker machines' illustration out front sets the scene for one cosy corner pub. Reeking of old-style charm and littered with eclectic pubobilia, if this pub was a person it'd be your crazy favourite great uncle or well-travelled gran. While waiting for your drink at the bar, you can feast your eyes on a spectacle of Elvis memorabilia, world globes, ornaments, polaroids and antique collectables.
There are multiple fireplaces and armchairs to curl up in, but on balmy nights patrons crowd into the beergarden and knock back icy cold drinks around tiki-style shelters with a procession of lanterns glowing overhead. Locals will attest that there is no pub grub to be found here but rather restaurant food served in a pub. As such, you won't be enjoying bargain-priced fare, but for most folks this is a fair trade for a higher level of quality and ambience.
