One of Adelaide's longest surviving restaurants, this family-run business has been serving quality Lebanese cuisine for almost 30 years. After taking over much of the cooking from his mother, Jimil Elmawey is in the restaurant most nights, meeting and greeting his customers and making sure the lively atmosphere is kept under control. Start your night with warm triangles of pita and a selection of homemade dips, then move on to chicken kebabs with fresh hummus; or delicious lamb-and-rice-stuffed cabbage rolls cooked with lemon and mint sauce. There are a number of vegetarian options too, such as the popular bamya (a stew of okra and tomato) and sulabi (beans, spinach and spices). With a belly dancer on Saturday nights and BYO alcohol, be prepared for a fun night out.
