Great night out
We went to QC for dinner with high expectations and they were all met. The atmosphere is inviting, it's a modern fitout with a dining area one side, and trendy lounge chairs the other where you can have pre or after dinner drinks. Dining chairs are comfy, tables aren't too small, they don't have lots of clutter. It's all just right. Staff on arrival met us to seat us, we didn't have to stand around waiting to be seen as some restaurants seem to always do.
We could choose from a number of available tables, which was a nice change from usually being told that's your table. QC wants us to feel comfortable and we were. Order was taken in good time, and we had entrees mains and dessert. Entrees were a good size, came not too fast. Mains arrived about 20 mins after we finished first course which for us was just right. Sizes were good, presentation was excellent. They used some innovative presentation, and they tasted as good as they looked.
We drank wine, and the choices are fantastic. The wine list is a mix of varieties and regions, and they do all by the glass. They also offer a large glass size, which is a nice touch. Prices are in line with the food and overall just a good menu. The restaurant has nice music, it was warm in the middle of winter, and was fairly busy the night we went in. To us it appears that they are trying to cater to customers wanting a night out for dinner, not those wanting something to eat and go, although the service is good enough for either choice.
Our opinion? Thoroughly recommended. If you're going to Alice Springs, make sure you have dinner at QC Restaurant. If you don't, you're missing something special.
