Okay, let's talk about the elephant in the room: this place is a 200 seater restaurant with little to no decoration. At best you can call the decor reserved.
If you want pretty walls then go to an art gallery, but if you come to a restaurant for the food and not the decor then look no further. Punjabi Tadka marries the best elements of Indian cuisine seamlessly: it's cheap, generously portioned and extremely tasty.
The menu is similar to most North Indian restaurants, with subtle yet fragrant curries providing the bulk of the offerings, but not all restaurants are created equal and this one is right at the pinnacle of Sydney's subcontinental cuisine.
