Punjabi By Nature

Being placed in a happening hip-spot such as Brisbane's trendy suburb of Paddington means that, by nature (pardon the pun), this restaurant must be either pretty cool or inventive. In fact, Punjabi By Nature is both really cool and inventive, especially when it comes to the food. On offer here is a selection of Indian meals that will make you think twice before ordering the much-loved faves like butter chicken. Blue cheese naan or whole tandoori lobsters are just some of the many ways this restaurant's cuisine strays from the beaten path.

Outstanding
Just another positive review to add to the others...A lovely chic, clean restaurant with gorgeous food. The service is attentive and friendly without being intrusive. All the Indian faves with some more creative options. We will certainly be back.

Great night out!
We dined here again as it was so good last week. The food and service lived up to our high expectations. We shared the vegetable pakora which was very light and had a great spicy taste. This time i had the Korma Kashmiri which was so creamy and tasty. Absolutely delicious. My partner had the Chicken Tikka Masala which had loads of great tandoori chicken pieces in it. The bombay potatoes are a great side dish full of flavour and the naan breads can't be beat!

Best curry I've had in Australia
Having only just moved to Brisbane we visited this restaurant on the recommendations of this website. And let me tell you they were all correct. This restuarant was fantastic! Friendly staff, great ambience, spectacular tasting food. It's the best curry we have eaten out of England. Really enjoyed our meal and had a great night out too.

Punjabi By Nature is the only natural choice!
To dine at any chic, cosy and pleasant Restaurant is always an extremely enjoyable experience.
However, when it is the very first Week (and the virgin Saturday night) of such a venture being open to the Public it is even more thrilling a dining experience.
When my colleague and I decided to experience the pleasure of Punjabi by Nature International Pty Ltd at 102 Latrobe Terrace in Paddington we were definitely not disappointed.
To say that this place is intimate would be somewhat of an understatement. It is a highly agreeable dining experience that begs to be sampled by any discerning Brisbane (and travelling) diner!
Where do I begin to praise this lovely Restaurant?
Perhaps it s life-changing Blue Cheese Naan, would be a suitable start!
The Blue Cheese Naan how do I describe the Blue Cheese Naan?
This is some of the best fare that I have ever eaten (period), thanks to its unique combination of crunch and the acquired flavour of the Cheese. It would be a stretch to find something more beautiful in the entire world.
Plus, the Rice is simply sublime, perfection in the form of such a simple but critical Indian dish. I sampled the normal Rice and with it my companion & I also tried the Lamb Vindaloo and the Kashmir Potato. Both were utterly spectacular and worthy of bragging about for miles around, which was accompanied by Pappadams and lashings of water.
Also, it has a wonderful feeling of intimacy that makes it feel almost beyond a traditional Restaurant. The space is very small & very inviting. It feels like a slice of India in the inner-city. Smack-bang in the heart of Paddington (near the Zebra crossing) and opposite Spoon . It is within a hub of vibrant activity.
The innovative seating area is small and not what one might expect from an Indian Restaurant. With it s white linen Table Clothes and the romantic flicker of candlelight, matched by rounded timber chairs and a surprisingly warm Outdoor dining area.
All in all, the praise that this lovely Restaurant will attract will end up coming from many & varied sources. Due to its amazing position, class, the warmth of its atmosphere and the unique, brave palette of it s engaging flavours.
It is possible to go on & on forever about the incredibly high standards of this establishment for pages and pages, without ever capturing the highly enjoyable experience of simply being there and enjoying the place.
My only advice, TRY IT you ll definitely be in for an extremely pleasant surprise! ENJOY!
