Renowned for being a stellar addition to the Melbourne gourmet pizza scene, Pompeo's hits all the bases (no pun intended) that a pizzeria should. Situated inside the Jackson Court shopping centre, you'll have a feast in Doncaster East.

New management ... blechhhh
Used to like going to Pompeos. Went again recently - the first time under new management. What a let down.
The food was NOT GOOD. Entree of salt & pepper calamari was gluggy and bland like it hadn't been cooked properly and the spices were too weak.
The pizzas were way too wet - within a couple of minutes the dough became soggy and limp. The Americana was bland - where did the tasty salami go? And the cheese was thick and gluggy.
All the while the maitre d' waltzed around like it was his birthday, giving people a double-thumbs up but never really getting close to the customers to find out how the meals & service rated.
And the place was too noisy by half ... yuck
