Another smart and stylish restaurant opened by the well-known Brisbane restaurateur Peter Hackworth, Plum offers a relaxed lunchtime menu, gourmet deli selections and woodfired pizza during the day. In the evening, the mood changes to a more sophisticated dining atmosphere, although you can drop in for a drink and sample some delicious antipasto throughout the day.
A salute to the name perhaps, the interior is decked out in a modern plum and white. There is an outside patio area surrounded by gorgeous palms and plants with all-weather cover, while comfy sofas cushion your wait for a table.
In its third incarnation with Christine Zhou at the helm, Plum continues to offer genuine old-fashioned favourites in a contemporary setting. From the pizzas to the fish and chips to the cheesecake, everything on the menu rings with honesty. Plum also serves as a deli, making it particularly convenient for anyone wanting a meal, a quick coffee, some fresh deli goods, or perhaps all three at once.
