Great place to enjoy breakfast
My husband and I found Platform9 a very enjoyable and relaxing place to eat.
The character and historical value of the building definately adds to the atmosphere.
The food, coffee and atmosphere combined for a great outing. We will definately return to this venue.

not worthy
My mother arranged for a family get together here and we were ultimately under whelmed.
It was a very warm day and coming into the dining area, it offered little reprieve from the heat outside, only certain pockets of airconditioning were comfortable to be in. The setting is very quaint and appealing and the history which it shares is interesting.
We were one of two bookings, but the staff were either inattentive or tending to the first, larger booking. It was a while before drinks were offered, and for a high-tea, the tea had to be requested specifically. The tea when it did come was poor. For a 'high-tea' to serve bushells tea bags is insulting. My family happens to be very picky with tea, and we expected more from such a lovely old venue, which promises so much.
The array of food was fairly expensive, but the quality was lacking. The little slices were far too sweet and not that fresh. I also found a few scones which were rock hard (I had to use a lots of force with my knife to cut it - I didn't bother eating it).

I hope they lift there game for their own sakes.
