Pizza has got to be the best Italian invention of all time. Forget Vespas, pianos and espresso machines - it's pizza all the way. At least, that's what pizza parlours and cafes like Pizza Place Manly are out to prove. And that's no mean feat when you've got traditional pepperoni, hawaiian and margherita classics on the menu, alongside the all-important gourmet offerings like tandoori chicken, the garlic prawn-packed Pacific, and the smoked prosciutto-filled Adriatic. Just as authentically Italian are the comforting pastas, risottos, salads and desserts (yes, there's a sweet pizza available too).
