Pireaus Blues

Pireaus Blues serves up traditional homestyle Greek cuisine and has an extensive wine list to choose from. There is also live music on some week nights and a fireplace for the colder months. This is a family-run restaurant, and it shows, because you're made to feel like one of, well, the family. While the menu offers few surprises in the way of barbecued meats and seafood, the blackboard is often packed with seasonal and interesting suggestions like slow-braised kid goat, mint and rice stuffed zucchini flowers and leek pastries. Don't go without trying the house-made baklava or vanilla and halva ice cream.

Good Flavours
Had the $29 Lunch Set Menu;
Saganaki - good but certainly not the best I've had
Dips - good
Dolmades - excellent
Oven Baked Lemon Lamb - stand out dish, beautifully done, I would come back for this dish.
Calamari - average
Greek Salad - good

Great value lunch menu, however the restaurant lacks atmosphere during lunch, probably a place to eat at for dinner.

What do you expect...
Pireaus Blues was once a fantastic Restaurant, with great food and lovely service. After changing hands so many times not only did the staff move on too but the newbies have no idea what Greek food is.

The birthday tucker
I remember on my birthday, my friends and I came to this restaurant. Once i taste for the first time, i started to be interested in Greek food. There were lot of varieties to eat. I enjoyed so much that i will never go to another Greek restaurant cause this place is the best!

Banquet for 40
Company farewell dinner, a banquet of 40 on a Friday night. Meat were dry and badly marinated for some. Some are tasteless and some are way too salty.

Overall, food was really bad but service and atmosphere was good.

Yum!
A great authentic little restaurant with extremely large serves and exceptional value for money! Fantastic atmosphere any night of the week. For a fun, noisy night. Don't say no to the Greek doughnuts for dessert... they're sublime!
