With produce sourced from their own farm, including organic herbs and spices and 36-month-old grain-fed Black Angus steers from their own herd, this pub-style restaurant is definitely a cut above the rest. On top of a strong commitment to high quality produce, this pub bistro also boasts a wide selection of tap beers and wines to match anything you fancy from the menu. The roast pork loin stuffed with bacon, apricot and camembert served on sweet potato mash and topped with crackling for example is just dying to be matched with a nice light tipple like a Bulmers; the crisp apple cider makes a great replacement for the traditional apple sauce. Meanwhile, the slow braised lamb shanks would marry well with one of the many robust reds from the wine list. Alternately, the James Squire Golden Ale would work as an accompanier, for those who are so inclined.
