We were ripped off royally
My partner and I went to the Pig and Whistle to have dinner and enjoy the St Paddy's Day festivities. The food was good, but overpriced and when we checked the bill the next day, we discovered that we had been charged $14.00 per glass of wine ie $42 for 3 glasses of wine. The menus stated $8.50. The manager has refused to refund us the amount we are owed. I guess he thinks he is going to get away with this. I don't think so! Centre Management are not impressed either.

This place is fairly average
My visit to the Pig was on a Sunday at lunch time. I was a bit sceptical of having lunch at a restaurant in a shopping centre, but the decor in the Pig intrigued me so I decided to give it a go. The English-style decor is pretty much the best aspect of this restaurant. It's cute, quaint and cosy and reminded me of being in a pub in England. The food was disappointing. We had nachos and a BLT. The aioli that came with the BLT was perhaps the worst aioli I have ever had. The nachos seemed microwaved, rather than done in the oven. For the prices that they charged for these meals, I expected a decent feed. But to be honest I felt like I could have paid less than half those prices and had just as a good a meal in the foodcourt not 10 metres away. The service was not too bad - the staff did try hard but they were busy and understaffed. We did not have a dedicated waiter. Every time we dealt with waitstaff it was a different person each time. I would only go back for a beer, which admittedly they do have a good selection. But $8 for a pint and $4.70 for a half pint? That's a bit steep!
