The brainchild of Synergy, Launceston chef/restaurant managers Kurstin and Allan Berriman, this 'Best Restaurant in a Hotel 2010' Tasmanian State Award winner prides itself on providing guests with a strong selection of local fare and vino.
Situated inside a converted 1835 homestead the dining room dotted with white-linen adorned tables and a spattering of elegant high-backed wicker chairs, this restaurant opens out onto a terrace that serves as a viewing platform for the kind of spectacular local mountain scenery the Island State is renowned for - in this case, Great Oyster Bay.
Considering its location, it stands to reason that oysters are the focus of the autumn entree menu and are available for consumption six different ways. The menus are seasonal and are crafted to compliment the months they are on offer. A quick perusal of the walk-in cellar is recommended before beginning a meal.
