Let the gentrification begin! The ever-growing collection of food outlets strewn along the Enmore Road strip always has been rather underwhelming. Despite the area's mass appeal and rising property values, the gastronomic make-up of the area has always failed to reflect this. Now, finally, the need has begun to be filled with the opening of this little corker.
Petite in stature but packing a mighty punch in culinary terms, this place seems to have a driving ethos of keeping it local, seasonal and bloody delicious. The decor is chic, with mottled white walls, hard wooden floors and more small tables than a bingo hall. Ranging between simple breakfast fare and some much more adventurous Euro-inspired modern Australian delights, chef Rob Murphy (of Aria and Garfish fame) has stripped things right back with a menu that reads like French via Bourke, where bush spices meet nicoise.
