Quirky, bohemian and homely are the first words that come to mind when you think of Piccolo Bar. This one-of-a-kind hole-in-the-wall cafe is one of the longest surviving cafes of the Cross, and Sydney too. With that reputation, Piccolo has accrued its fair share of fans ranging from local creatives to the more famous like the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Mel Gibson, and the legendary Les Girls of Kings Cross. Owner/chef Vittorio Bianchi brings plenty of personality to the place, as well as cooking up simple all-day breakfasts, hearty pastas, tasty steaks, homemade cakes and gelato. It's definitely the kind of spot you'd go to while nursing a hangover (or before inducing one!).
