Putting its best foot forward, the robust Phillip's Foote restaurant stands strong in The Rocks, open since 1975, and named after the First Fleet's Captain Arthur Phillip. Accordingly, the feel is colonial with a friendly Aussie feel, located in a heritage building with award-winning courtyards and sprawling indoor and outdoor dining areas to enjoy. Becoming something of a must-do tourist experience, Phillip's Foote now sell t-shirts, hats and other merchandise to loyal locals and vibrant visitors. Indeed, the chance to cook your own Aussie meat over a chargrill barbecue provides a uniquely Australian experience, with prime Aussie beef, chicken, pork ribs, lamb cutlets and fish just some of the meats on hand, while the salad bar and two fully-stocked bars should also satisfy palates.
