Buffet a hit-and-miss affair
Petries had a promo of $40 weekday buffet. We have also been during buffet 'peak' times and have found both to be sometimes good sometimes disappointing. Top marks for the roast beef that was available on the buffet one night, it was still slightly rare, deliciously so, and drizzled in a light jus, with caramelised veg. Superb. For those who want to get sozzled, they also had a $10 wine buffet, with quite a nice assortment of wines to choose from. The buffet at Petries is good value but you can never be sure if you'll walk away happy.
