A deserving recipient of its first chef's hat from the Age Good Food Guide in 2011, Perfect Drop Wine & Food Lounge has quickly garnered a reputation for its fresh, seasonal and largely organic fare since it appeared on the pretty Daylesford horizon a few years ago.
While there's no point in telling you about any specific dishes on the menu as it changes two to three times a week, we can tell you that the bread is house-made from organic flour; the venison, goat, free range duck, Glenloth chicken, pheasant and quail eggs come from local butcher Spa Venison (just down the road); and the fresh horseradish, rosemary, thyme, sage, oregano and Tuscan kale all originated in chef Andrew Dennis's home garden. Not bad for homemade.
Dennis and manager Devon Taylor run a tight ship, with the proof of that pudding in their expertly chosen, locally focused wine list and flawless food, so kick back in the wine garden and while away an evening, trusting that you're in more than capable hands here.

Blown away by underated restaurant in Region
Well, having eaten am numerous restaurants in the Daylesford/Hepburn Springs region, I would have to say this was a brilliant experience. Small, friendly and the food and wine was perfect. Devon, the owner was lovely and you can she has a real passion for dining. Highly recommend.
