Fancy a traditional European high tea? Then you've come to the right place. Peninsula Tea Gardens makes high tea its specialty, serving fresh scones, cakes, crepes and sandwiches, and soothing loose-leaf, flavoured and herbal teas. It's all served on classic silver three-tiered stands, along with finebone china and linen, treating you like a king or queen.
There's plenty of freedom of choice in the high tea varieties, which include a Parisian afternoon tea, a children's tea plate, and even a gluten-free tea. Peninsula Tea Gardens even gets the country charm down pat, sitting on the site of one of the first farms of European settlement in Western Australia, and overlooking the beautiful Swan River.

Great location a saviour
I booked our afternoon for my mothers birthday. Beautiful relaxing setting. However our table was not ready when we arrived despite set booking and session times. We had to stand around for about 20 mins while staff organised table and they took ages. Either not enough staff or they were hiding around the back. Food was nice but not only tiny amount of jam for scones, had to get up and go looking for wait staff to get it topped up. No offers of top ups on tea and coffee, had to chase staff down for that as well. Had an elderly grandmother and tearooms a fair walk from disabled bay and then she had to do a 4WD with her walker over the grass and through a garden bed to finish off so not advisable for the disabled. Expected better service for the $38.00 as there was not a lot of food.
