Pee Wee's at the Point sets the benchmark for date venues in Darwin. If a bloke takes his lucky date here, it's a sign that he's seriously interested and wants to make a lasting impression. Once you've visited this beachfront restaurant, with its sweeping Fannie Bay panorama and magnificent sunset views, you'll understand why.
The service at this fine diner is impeccable - a big call perhaps, but largely supported by the staff's winning combination of professionalism and Darwin-style friendliness. Settle back with some French Champagne (which is poured by the glass here) and peruse the menu of seriously gourmet cuisine. Among the tempting options are oysters, which are flown up from Adelaide daily; succulent Szechuan pepper soft shell mud crab; and bug tails that are mouth-wateringly coated in a crispy tempura batter and served on an Asian salad.
The restaurant sits snugly amid tropical palms, pandanas and native fig trees on an old military campsite just out of Darwin. The site (formerly known as Pee Wee Camp, for anyone wondering about the name) was established in 1911 to protect the Port Darwin coastline.

Extremely disapointing. Outragesly overpriced, bland and boring food.
Extremely disappointing. Bland, dry food, poorly presented. No decoration on the plate or on the table. Steel tables and steel chairs without tablecloth or cushions, similar to a fast-food-restaurant. Outrageously overpriced, payed AUD$ 570 for a dinner for 4 that left me and my family hungry and disappointed. Waiters are tourists. PeeWee's put absolutely no effort in their meals and presentation.

Great food
Food was awesome. Recommended the skippy!Unfortunately we arrived too late for the sunset, but that would have been nice as it is a perfect spot on the point. Service was average, but came to realise that it is based on DT (Darwin Time). All the service in Darwin is extremely slow.

Outstanding
Thoroughly enjoyed Pee Wee's. Food was fantastic and rated as the best meal we had in Darwin. Nearly didn't go there because of previous reviews but so very glad we did. It was fantastic. Atmosphere and location stunning. Service friendly, very helpful and professional. Great place for an occasion.

Great Views
A restaurant with possibly the best views in Darwin. However the experience is let down by dirty windows, cobwebs in the ceiling, no tablecloths on tables that need restoration. The food had some good pieces and some very ordinary pieces. The wine list is average and favouring the lower end of quality. Wait staff average with a lack of professionalism that would be expected in this price range.
