Everyone loves pastries (why else is Paris so popular?) and the sweet smells wafting out of Patisse are a scrumptious windfall for the PYD Building. Operating as both a patisserie and cafe, Patisse specialises in sweet and flaky treats, with a few salads, pizzas and tarts also on the menu. Twice a week, executive chef Vincent Gadan runs four-hour, hands-on cooking classes that explore the intricacies of pastry preparation.

so tasty!!
Following other Masterchef groupies, we hunted down Patisse. Even though they were sold out of macarons, they had a good array of desserts which we raided. We took about 5 home with us two we devoured straight away a perfect looking caramel ?clair and a raspberry concoction of mousse, sponge and candy. We also had a quiche, which may be overlooked by the sweet toothed patrons, but it was fantastic. I thought the seated area could be more substantial to invite a relaxing afternoon of indulgence, but it looks smart and funky none the less. We'll be returning for more macarons as soon as we can.
