This place gets the thumbs up for its sheer fun factor - if only for their deliciously camp mantra: "eat spice, drink tequila, make love..."
Rather than being your typical ho-hum Mexican fare, the cuisine here is Mexican-inspired, drawing on traditional flavours and ingredients. The venue attempts to emulate the laidback ways of the Mexicans - hence the sultry mantra.
Feast on authentic tortilla chips with homemade salsa, chipotle tiger prawns and avocado salad, deep-fried jalapenos stuffed with queso, soft fish tacos and slow-cooked shredded pork. Alternatively, nab an ottoman outside and enjoy the river outlook while slurping down a jug of sangria. On weekends, a line-up of musical entertainment and regular events keep both the staff and punters entertained.
