Offering spectacular views of Lake Burley Griffin, the Parlour Wine Room, besides offering a smattering of delightful New World and Old World drops, offers a selection of deftly executed tapas. These exciting little tasting plates include twice-cooked pork belly, coriander, fried onion and an Alvear Solera glaze; or for a slightly more straightforward offering, the oven-roasted king prawns with garlic and piri-piri sauce.

as good as it gets in Canberra for service and atmosphere
Other Canberra restaurants could learn from the service at this place - friendly, prompt and with a bit of personality (sadly lacking in most Canberra restaurants). The only whinge is that serving sizes seemed to have been reduced, probably reflecting higher food prices. The food is still good, but just not quite as good as value-for-money as it used to be.

excellent food - great flavours
Went for dinner (6 tapas) and drinks last night and really loved it. We had anchovies, sardines, quail, cuttlefish, pork belly and chocolate fondant. Parlour has good quality produce that was cooked beautifully, the flavours were well balanced and delicately handled. The pan seared quail cooked with butter and sage, and the fondant were standouts. The cuttlefish was very tender and pork belly super rich (probably too much for us). Six tapas was heaps for two of us, we only really needed five. Service was attentive even though they were very busy, a slight mix up with drinks at beginning was quickly rectified. All in all, we had a great evening and will be back.
