To judge by the constant crowds at their kerb-side tables, Parkers Cafe is possibly Parkdale's favourite breakfast and lunch destination. With its classy beige suede banquettes, nest-like wicker lamps and a reassuringly bustling open kitchen, this is very much a neighbourhood hangout, where cheery staff greet familiar faces and remember their favourite orders.
Of course, it's not hard to remember favourite orders when punters so frequently order the "starvin' Marvin' hot breakfast": bacon, grilled tomato, sauteed mushrooms, spinach, fried eggs and hash browns on warm Turkish bread. Breakfast is served all day and includes New York-style bagels and pots of Greek yoghurt with poached berries, honey and toasted almonds. Lunch also has a dash of international flavour with Moroccan couscous sitting on the menu, alongside warm seafood salads, parma burgers, lamb rissoles, and chicken and avocado fettuccine.
The cafe also does corporate catering, delivering finger food such as coconut- and honey-crumbed chicken strips; and oysters with mango, capsicum and feta. However, if you'd rather get out of the office entirely, Parkers is fully licensed, so you can schmooze the boss over a few glasses of boutique Australian wine.

Great tasting soy coffee
The soy coffee is awesome here. Ask for a shot of caramel in it and it's even better. The service is good and the staff are very friendly.
The cake choices are your standard cafe cakes with no dairy-free choices available. The wait staff were kind enough to check through the ingredients lists of all their cakes and cookies for me :o)
