Been once
Went out for dinner on a fairly quiet night. I had the gnocchi brescaeola and my partner had the penne with chorizo as it was one of the specials (which we had to ask our waitress for). Simple tasty choices we believed. The gnocchi was OK (as it is always hit and miss) but the sauce was simply butter and oil with a tiny bit of flavour. The penne was adequate but nothing to rave about. We also had to ask our waitress for water. Now that we've been once we don't have to go back.

Dull
The food was nothing special, and worse when considering the price. The service was also abysmal, with them taking around 15 minutes to get us our drink order and it went downhill from there. Much better Italian available in Brisbane, wouldn't bother going here again.

Fantastic simple pastas
We have had takeaway twice now from Pane e Vino, the first time my partner had the linguine con pancetta and I had the spaghetti marinara, with bruschetta for our entree. It was superb. Complimentary parmesan for our pastas was in our bag and the serving of the bruschetta mixture was extremely generous - so much so that we also had it on our toast the next day!!!

The second time I had the risotto gamberi (prawns sauteed in white wine, asparagus and baby spinach) and my partner the spaghetti con gamberi (prawns with chilli, garlic, spinach and fresh tomato with olive oil). Yum yum yum!!!

Fantastic simple Italian food that hits the spot, at a very affordable price. We haven't dined in there but it is always busy and hope to do so on a night out soon.

Nice Lunch Spot
I've been to Pane Vino for lunch during the week three or four times in the last few months and while I always tell myself I am going to try something different, I always order the prawn and asparagus risotto because it's absolutely sublime!

It's a little noisy, but it's a great spot for a quick bite and you can be assured no one will overhear your conversations!

Tasty Italian in the CBD
I'd read a few recommendations for this place, so when my friend and I were in Bris over the weekend we decided to check it out. It was near our hotel, so we ordered take away. The service was friendly and the food came fast, the restaurant seemed buzzing. We tried the ravioli de funghi and insalata de pollo, both simple and tasty.

There's nothing exceptional about this place, but it's excellent value, great service and the food is satisfying.

Fantastic pasta!
Three pastas off the menu - a spicy linguine, ravioli with napoli and ravioli al funghi - and they were all perfect, perfect. We were only too sad that we wiped our plates clean so quickly. The sauces were out of this world! We finished off with a tiramisu which was better than most of what can be found in Brisbane, and an Italian hot ciok that I presume is part of Segafredo's offering. Lovely meal, all in all. Waitstaff were friendly and accommodating. The prices suited the meal well, and it's now much easier to answer 'so where's the best pasta in Brisbane?'

Best Pasta in Brisbane!
Before going to this restaurant I never ordered pasta. I tasted my girlfriend's and ordered one myself. It is the best pasta I have tasted. And coming from someone who isn't into pasta says a lot! Very affordable, great central location and BYO in the city.
