Panacea

Just the remedy for an inner city stress-pot looking for culinary relief, Panacea delivers prime Spanish/Mediterranean cuisine and an enviable selection of international wines to help bring the pressure down. Of course, already comatose diners can settle right into the breezy rear courtyard for a lazy lunch or delicious dinner. But the action happens inside at the open kitchen, where a spectacle of meticulous preparation is offered to diners who decide to pull up a stool at the sleek black bar for epicurean entertainment. In starters, small plate and main servings, the meals use quality ingredients that ooze authenticity, such as the vine-wrapped sardines, the rabbit and white bean chorizo hotpot, and the slow-cooked pork belly with saffron aioli. Since hitting Halifax Street in late 2008, Panacea has packed panache in its punch.

SPUR OF THE MOMENT IN HALIFAX STREET
We were looking for a place to eat and came accross this lovely little restuarant. The Menu on the outside board has some delicious meals on offer.
The food was quite delicious, great service and from where we sat overlooking the street, we could have been anywhere in the world. I highly rate this venue and particular good for a quick meal. We chose the 'Specials' - entree - cauliflower croquettes with aloi dip and for mains - Spaghetti with prawns, chilli and garlic. The flavours in this dish married well and not overpowering. We finished with Baklava, and left very satisfied, and we intend to return in the very near future
